Gardens, Bees and Trees by Rebecca Even/Advent Jesse Tree/Waiting in Joyful Hope for the Coming of Christ the King – Let’s Go!

The Grace-Filled Finale of Our Advent Journey

Here we are, sweet friends — candles glowing, hearts softened, little ones buzzing with anticipation — and we are SO close to the manger. Advent has been our season of stillness, story, Scripture, color, candlelight, and tiny daily acts of love. And now… we wait in joyful hope for the coming of Christ the King.

Not passive waiting.
Not anxious waiting.
But joyful waiting — the kind that bubbles up like a child watching for Christmas lights.

Jesus Comes as King… in Disguise

What always amazes me is this:
Our King doesn’t come with trumpets and armies.
He comes as a baby, wrapped in swaddling clothes.

He comes quietly.
Humbly.
In a way little ones can understand…
and in a way grown-ups can rediscover wonder.

Advent trains our hearts to see Him
in our prayers,
in our patience,
in our service,
in our families,
and even in the joyful chaos of December.

The King is coming… not to scare us — but to save us.

The Story of Grace Continues: Jesse Tree Days 8–14

In The Jesse Tree Adventure: A Story of Grace, these middle days of Advent are where the story begins to pulse with promise. God’s faithfulness becomes unmistakable as the line of the Messiah grows clearer and clearer.

Here is the next stretch of the journey:

- Day 8 — The Basket (Miriam)
Miriam watches over baby Moses, showing faith, courage, and the power of protecting God’s plan.

- Day 9 — Moses & the Exodus
God delivers His people and leads them toward freedom.

- Day 10 — The Horn (Joshua)
Joshua leads the Israelites with courage, and the walls of Jericho fall by God’s power — reminding us that trusting Him brings victory.

- Day 11 — Ruth
A story of loyalty, redemption, and love — reminding us that the family line of Jesus includes gentleness and courage.

- Day 12 — Jesse
The root from which the great promise blooms.

- Day 13 — The Oil Lamp (Samuel)
Samuel anoints God’s chosen king, showing that God sees the heart, not appearances, and that His plans are perfect.

- Day 14 — King David
A shepherd becomes king… and God promises that the Savior will come from his royal line.

A Virgin shall conceive… a Child shall be born… the Prince of Peace is coming.

These stories teach our children — and us — that salvation unfolds slowly, faithfully, and always with grace. Each ornament, each rhyme, each Scripture reading builds anticipation… not just for Christmas morning, but for the coming of Christ into our lives.

✨ Keep the Joy Going: Celebrate ALL 12 Days of Christmas

Here’s a beautiful Christian truth our culture often misses:

Christmas doesn’t end on December 25th — it begins.

If you want to gently but powerfully change your family’s spiritual life, start celebrating the full 12 Days of Christmas:

 - Read Scripture each day
 - Light candles
 - Pray around the Nativity
 - Practice small acts of kindness
 - Sing carols (yes — the Church sings them all the way to Epiphany!)

This is the heartbeat of your Live the 12 Days Challenge — restoring Christian culture, one family at a time.

When Women Prepare, Heaven Moves

Mamas.
Grandmothers.
Teachers.

You are building a culture of rejoicing, gratitude, peace, and wonder. You are preparing not only your homes — but the hearts of your children and students.

Waiting well is one of the most powerful gifts you can give them.

And there’s more to go until Christmas! (Day 15–28) Watch out for our socials for daily children’s rhymes posts, or if you want to get them straight to your inbox, click here → www.Howtokeepchristinadvent.com
